If the toilet/vanity is close to the tub, is this going to be a problem?

Yes, this can pose a problem. Any item closer than 6" should be removed

prior to the refinishers arrival. If any obstacle is not removed, the finish

in that area may not be as smooth as the rest of the bathtub.
